Chat clarified that they would not talk to Jerma until he winked for them.

Jerma submits to Chat, winking in only a bathrobeįor over twenty minutes following his refusal, Chat, in an act of pure hive-mindedness, was practically overtaken with spam, simply repeating an ellipsis ("."), indicating silence. I'm not that guy, I don't do that anymore." Jerma boldly refused, stating, "I don't do winks anymore. A request was made by Chat, asking Jerma to wink. March 19th, 2020: Eleven days after Winks were removed, Jerma was three-and-a-half hours into playing The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth. In approximately twelve seconds, 543 Winks were redeemed, to Jerma's absolute horror. The Channel Point requirement was brought down to 10,000 per redemption. Jerma decided to remove the Wink reward, and, as compensation, reduced the price of the Wink for one stream. It was expected for 5 to 6 Winks to appear in a stream, and this continued for three months, much to the chagrin of some viewers. In just over two weeks, and with less than 70 continuous hours of viewing, Tingy had collected 75,000 Channel Points.Īfter the initial redemption, the Wink would be redeemed commonly during Jerma's streams. However, on January 16th, 2020, during a Kingsway stream, the very first Wink was redeemed by a long-time viewer named Tingy, to Jerma's great surprise. Without collecting the periodic extra Channel Point reward "chests" or other methods of accruing Channel Points, redeeming a Wink would require 140 hours of continuous viewing of Jerma's streams. The original cost of this reward was 75,000 Channel Points. This was, supposedly, the result of a pre-stream OneGuy moment, wherein Jerma was told to add the Wink as a nuclear option to derail the stream. The Channel Points loyalty system was implemented by Twitch in the latter half of 2019, but it wasn't until Jerma's No More Heroes stream on December 29th, 2019 that he brought about the Wink reward.
